Delhi Traffic Police issued 44,484 on-the-spot challans to private buses between January and September 2026, a 22 per cent rise year-on-year, according to a TOI report. While some compliance-related violations declined, offences such as improper parking, wrongful overtaking and signal violations saw sharp increases amid heightened enforcement and safety concerns.
