Over 6,000 vehicles a day, parking capacity for just 1,500; J&K introduces odd-even rule in Gulmarg

To combat severe traffic congestion in Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir’s premier tourist spot, authorities have introduced an odd-even vehicle entry system. With parking for 1,500 vehicles overwhelmed by over 6,000 daily, this pilot program, starting July 5, will restrict vehicles based on their registration numbers’ last digit.
