Samsung Electronics has begun shipping samples of its new 12-layer HBM4E chip, a critical component for AI data centers, aiming to regain market share. This move, more than 20 per cent faster than previous generations, positions Samsung to compete more aggressively against rivals like SK Hynix and Micron in the rapidly growing AI memory market.
